Privacy Policy – Cleromanzia
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This page describes how the Cleromanzia app (hereinafter “Application”) handles user data. The Application is developed by Andrea Maffei for the mensiva.it project. In its current version, the Application includes advertisements and utilizes technical identifiers for the proper functioning of third-party services.

Data Collected and Purposes
The Application does not require any registration and does not collect direct identifying data (such as name, email, or phone number). However, to display advertisements, integration with third-party networks involves the automatic collection of certain technical data:
- Device and usage data: Information about the device model, operating system version, IP address, and unique advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID or AAID).
- Purpose: This data is used exclusively for the delivery, personalization (where permitted), and performance tracking of advertisements.
Network Connection and Operation
Unlike previous versions, the Application requires Internet access to download and display advertising content in real time. The internal logic and calculations related to the cleromancy features continue to reside and be processed locally on the user’s device.
Third-Party Services and Consent (GDPR)
The Application integrates the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Advertising service aimed at displaying ads within the interface.
- Consent Management Platform (Google CMP): In compliance with European regulations (GDPR), upon first launching the Application, users residing in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a banner for managing cookies and advertising data. This tool offers 3 clear options (Accept, Do not accept, Manage options).
- If the user denies consent, only non-personalized ads will be delivered, and identifiers will not be used for profiling.
Legal Basis for Processing
The legal basis for delivering personalized advertising and using the relative identifiers is the user’s explicit consent, freely expressed or revocable at any time through the privacy management screen within the Application. Essential technical data (such as the IP address for the connection) is processed based on legitimate interest to ensure the security and technical operation of the service.
User Rights
Users can limit or revoke advertising tracking in two ways:
- Resetting or deactivating the advertising ID from their Android operating system settings (Settings > Google > Privacy > Ads).
- Changing previously expressed preferences via the CMP form within the Application.
For any privacy-related questions, you can write to: info@mensiva.it.
Children’s Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Ads delivered via AdMob are configured to comply with the minor protection guidelines provided by the distribution platforms.
Changes to the Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect technical changes or legislative updates; the “Last updated” date at the top of the document will be modified accordingly.
